Where it began.
Building was part of our family story before Edge Crew had a name. Three generations connect us to this work. That heritage is part of who we are, and part of the responsibility we feel when another family trusts us with their home.
Edge Crew is an extension of our family and the life we have built together in North Texas. The things we value at home—hard work, honesty, accountability and taking care of people—belong in our work, too.
Construction has been part of our family story for three generations. Today, each of us brings something different to that story: experience in the field, a creative eye, and a life full of horses, gardens, art and time outdoors. This is a little of who we are, both on the jobsite and beyond it.

01 / The thread that connects us

Building was part of our family story before Edge Crew had a name. Three generations connect us to this work. That heritage is part of who we are, and part of the responsibility we feel when another family trusts us with their home.
Over eighteen years, Edge Crew has become an expression of our own family and our life in North Texas. The homes are individual. The values we bring to them—honesty, hard work and accountability—stay consistent.
Kaiden’s work as a project superintendent and Hadley’s growing involvement in design and storytelling bring new energy to the company. Each is finding a place in the work, with interests and strengths that are distinctly their own.
02 / Meet the Cortez family
The people behind the work, and the things that make life ours.

Jonathan
Construction is one part of Jonathan’s life; curiosity runs through the rest of it. Photography, mountain biking, backpacking, fly fishing and endurance sports all have a place alongside gardening and team roping with the family. The common thread is a love of making, noticing and spending time outside.

Michelle
Michelle loves the garden, the horses and being deeply involved in what the kids are passionate about. Her story belongs here because the life around Edge Crew matters as much as the work itself. Family, shared interests and time together are at the heart of that life.

Kaiden
Kaiden is an active project superintendent, carrying the family’s building story into the day-to-day work of construction. Away from the jobsite, he lives and breathes team roping. If he is not in the field with the crew, there is a good chance he is horseback with a rope in his hand.

Hadley
Art, photography and drums are all part of Hadley’s creative world. That creativity has found its way into Edge Crew through marketing, content production and home design. Having completed her first home design, she is adding her own perspective to a family story that keeps growing.
03 / The next chapter · Kaiden
For Kaiden, the next chapter of our family’s building story is already taking place on the jobsite. As an active project superintendent, he is part of the everyday work that turns a home from a set of plans into a place a family will live.
Away from construction, team roping is a big part of his life. Horses, time in the saddle and roping with the family are part of who he is. It means a great deal to us to see him making his own place in the company while pursuing something he loves beyond the work.

03 / The next chapter · Hadley
There is something personal about seeing the next generation put an idea on paper. Hadley has completed her first home design—another way her creative interests are becoming part of the family’s work.
Art, photography and a growing interest in the spaces we build come together in this chapter of her story. Her design deserves a place here, alongside the people and experiences that helped shape it.

04 / Beyond the jobsite
Horses and team roping. A garden to tend. A camera, a trail, a day outside. Our interests take us in different directions and give us plenty to share when we come back together.
That is what makes a home personal to us: the people, the routines and the life that fills it. We want to understand those things about your family, too.
